The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home by using a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic profits would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the correct Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South nsfas application Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last 2025 nsfas application day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
